These two photos were taken in April 2002 and are of a small bay on the Whangateau Harbour known simply as "The Bay". From as far back as I can remember, dingies and small boats have been kept there. Launches were kept there just out in the channel. Launches and yachts were scrubbed down in The Bay. It was the starting and ending point for most local activites involving boats. It was a favourite swimming place. And just up on the hill out of picture was a favoured christmas camping spot.
