My great grand parents, Angus and Jessie Matheson built this homestead overlooking Matheson's Bay after having emigrated from Nova Scotia in the brigantine Spray in 1857. It was here where Angus with his brother Duncan (who also constructed his home on the opposite side of the bay) set up their boat building yards in 1859.
